A professional, award-winning regional theater established in 1937, Olney Theatre Center operates under an Actors' Equity Association Council of Stock Theaters (COST) contract, one of only two theaters in the country to operate under such a contract.

AmaZing Theatre believes that drama is a powerful medium for teaching and learning about the history and cultural nuances that are the foundation of African Americans. The Theatre's mission is to create performing arts opportunities of social significance for the Black/African American community. Est. 1979 in response to the urgent need for arts education for young people. Imagination Stage has grown from a handful of children in a single classroom to a full-spectrum theatre arts organization, with theatre productions by professional actors and artists. Unlike most children’s theatre companies, Imagination Stage commissions new works for children every year.

Since 2017, we are a company established with a full time residency performing a full season of shows at the Highwood Theatre in Silver Spring. 4615's productions aim to merge a rigorous emphasis on text and storytelling with creative staging to create highly immersive experiences. Hexagon is a nonprofit organization composed of people whose purpose is to create and stage an original, political, satirical, musical comedy revue each year, both to have fun entertaining and to raise money for local charities. While there are several (even numerous) groups that purport to present political satire, Hexagon is unique in several respects: Hexagon is all original. Each year every song and skit is completely new. At Hexagon, you won’t hear hackneyed tunes recycled with new words. Hexagon is non profit. We donate to charity, not to our own wallets. Nu Sass Productions strives to encourage women in all aspects of theater, especially in those roles traditionally dominated by men. Nu Sass seeks to offer women opportunities to expand the roles they take on in the theater and try new things. Nu Sass explores how putting female actors into roles originally written for men can change the overall experience for the audience. Above all, Nu Sass aims to create engaging, thought-provoking art while being a responsible local and global citizen.
