The act of submitting creative work for a dramatist is as necessary as finishing it. But the process of finding the right submission opportunity can feel overwhelming. This is why, for more than 20 years, the Dramatists Guild has compiled a submissions and opportunities database, and published a full directory of theatres, agents, festivals, contests, workshops, retreats, and other submission opportunities to help make the life of the dramatist an easier one.

This functionality is part of suite of resources designed to help playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists.

    Est. 1980. The Kavinoky Theatre has produced over 200 shows in the last 37 years and has earned a reputation for consistently high-quality productions, a solid subscriber base, and has received more awards than any other theatre in Buffalo.
  • The PRT periodically commissions out-of-town directors from other cities and collaborates with local companies that include the Irish Classical Theatre, Ujima Company, Inc., Shea’s Performing Arts Theatre and MusicalFare Theatre, among others. The 130-seat physical theater is housed inside of the African American Cultural Center at 350 Masten Avenue. The Paul Robeson Theatre season runs from September to May, with an average of five productions that focus on the African American experience. Season subscriptions and group rates are available.
