Theatre has the power to change our world. How do we rally our audiences and move them from their seats to the streets, the polling booths, the community centers?

DG members are invited to attend a Facebook Live meeting of creativity and strategy, a panel of politically-mindful artists gathers to investigate theatre as a means for political and social change.

Wednesday, May 11

Atlantic Time: 8pm
Eastern Time: 7pm
Central Time: 6pm
Mountain Time: 5pm
Pacific Time: 4pm

Moderated by Douglas Sebamala (he/him; Founder & Creative Director of Sebamala Arts), these theatermakers will discuss the changes they wish to see in the world, the methods they use to make change possible, and the potential of theater to achieve tangible results.

Panelists will include Michael Cotey (he/him; Artistic Producer of #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence), David Meyers (he/him; Broken, The Parsnip Ship), and Holly Sansom (they/them; Operations Director of Theatre of the Oppressed NYC).
