It can be difficult in the Digital Age to know how to properly gain access to material for student use. Join us, and we'll dig through the weeds together. On May 26, the U.S. Copyright Office, the Dramatists Guild, and educators will take part in a lively discussion on what educational fair use is, what it isn't, and why we need it.

The webinar will cover:

The Copyright Office's definition of the concept of Educational Fair use and its parameters;
A discussion on the practicalities of using materials in the classroom;
The legal perspective on Fair Use;
How can to receive materials that do not fall within the Fair Use framework.

Featuring:

Billie Davis, Vice President of Amateur Licensing at Concord Theatricals
Aisha DeCoteau, Director of Business Affairs
Karen Hartman, Playwright/Educator
Jordana Rubel, Office of the General Counsel, U.S. Copyright Office
Ralph Sevush, DG Executive Director of Business Affairs
