The Dramatists Guild Presents: TALKBACK Season 3 Episode 3 is now available to download! This season explores the idea of COLLABORATION, and the third episode amplifies the work of immigrant playwrights during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this week's episode, artists Saviana Stanescu, Caridad Svich, and longtime former Artistic Director of the Nuyorican Poets Café, Daniel Gallant, join host Christine Toy Johnson to discuss how immigrant artists survived- and even thrived- during the past eighteen months of pandemic. The guests speak about the importance of taking creative risks, the necessity of opening doors as well as minds, and how we all benefit from the knowledge and experience that comes with cultural exchange.
