Are you a student interested in writing for the theatre? Are you a higher education professor with a strong interest in the foundational concepts of working as a writer in today’s theatre market?
Join us for Artist as CEO: A Free Professional Development Intensive for Student Theatre Writers and discover what it takes to be a professional writer for the stage!
Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8
This program is completely free of cost to all participants.
A writing program can do wonders to help you rigorously polish and hone the tools in your arsenal as an artist but diving into theatre writing as a vocation/career leaves much ambiguity around how to proceed.
In this two day, six-hour weekend bootcamp, participants will come together with students across the country, as well as leaders in the field, to talk about the foundational tools you’ll need to advocate for yourself, manage expectations within professional relationships, and protect the fruits of your hard-won creative labor.
Participants are welcome to register for the full weekend or for either day of the Intensive. Scroll down to view the Intensive's full schedule below. Please be advised that all sessions and special guests are subject to change
Please note that times are given in EDT.
You do not need to be a member of the Dramatists Guild in order to attend this intensive. These free sessions are available to anyone who is currently engaging with playwriting in a higher education program.
