Dramatists Guild members are welcome to apply to FORGE NYC's new, year-long fellowship program, Fellowship for Makers.
FORGE NYC believes that how you work matters just as much as why you create and what you want to make. Fellowship recipients will be invited to spend a year (from February 2021 through January 2022) digging in, getting curious, and defining success. You'll learn to articulate your work to fellow innovators, concoct creative solutions to today’s conundrums, and retrofit your process with guidance from FORGE NYC and leaders in your field. You bring the spark. We'll light the FORGE.
Applications are open through November 23, 2020. This online opportunity is available to dramatists from all over the world; individual makers and small teams (of no more than three) at any point in their career or process are encouraged to apply. FORGE NYC invites folx with diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and modes of expression to incite creative friction and re-envision the inherited systems and accepted norms of their fields.
FORGE NYC is an arts consultancy dedicated to helping artists and makers take the next steps with their work. They specialize in long term strategic planning, financial literacy, and creating sustainable systems and practices with creatives. They also offer creative resources such as retreats and residencies out of a newly renovated Red Barn in Danbury, CT, as well as workshops, and pop-up workspaces (currently on zoom).
