
Vickie Ramirez
Vickie Ramirez (Tuscarora) is a New York City-based playwright, screenwriter, and director whose work has been seen at Native Voices at the Autry, The Public Theater, Labyrinth, 59E59 Theaters, Roundabout Theatre, Playwrights Horizons, and La Jolla Playhouse. She has collaborated with artists like Colman Domingo, Lily Gladstone, and Raúl Castillo. She was the first Indigenous member of the Public Theater’s Emerging Writers Group (2009) and is a current resident writer at New Dramatists (2018). Vickie consulted on Outer Range for Amazon TV and adapted/directed GlenReige 20WP as a short film for Vision Maker Media. Vickie is currently adapting Standoff at Highway #37 into a feature film and Pure Native into a TV series, as well as preparing for Pure Native’s East Coast debut at Geva Theatre in the spring of 2025. Her plays are published by Broadway Play Publishing, TRW, and Routledge Books.
