Stephanie K Brownell is a multidisciplinary artist holding an MFA in Playwriting from Boston University. They are a winner of the National Partners of the American Theatre Playwriting Excellence Award, a Gary Garrison Award national finalist, and an alumna of residencies and fellowships nationwide including Company One's PlayLab, the Ensemble Studio Theatre's NYTI, the O'Neill Playwright Observers, and Taleamor Park. Stephanie has been a featured author at Cathexis Northwest, and their work has been honored with Editor's Choice Awards from Solstice Literary Magazine (fiction) and Typishly Literary Journal (poetry). Their fiction, poetry, and drama have also been published in Great Lakes Review, Speculative North, Punt Volat, Decoded Pride, and elsewhere. Stephanie teaches writing at Carroll University and GrubStreet, and creates socially engaged performances as a Core Member of Artists Theater of Boston.
