Hi there! I'm an Emmy-winning artist who specializes in writing and producing (EP of Chinese Mother Jewish Daughter LLC), and able to work local both in NY and LA.
I develop original projects for stage and screen that often explore social awareness through entertainment. My family works include a musical fairytale inspired by my adopted dog called Rescue Rue (NYMF & NYCTF ‘14), the series Monica’s Mixing Bowl (concept by Monica Willey) that aims to demystify allergies and dietary restrictions for kids and families through narrative, puppets, and song, and Boys Lost (concept by Donna Drake) that re-imagines the backstory of the lost boys of Neverland. Other favorite projects include musicals 5th Republic(NYMF '11), Madame (NYMF Reading ’12), and the sci-fi rock opera LUDO’s Broken Bride (NYMF '17; ANT Fest '13; The Cutting Room '14).
As a self-described 'puppet person', I've worked for shops including the Jim Henson Co., Swazzle, and the Puppet Kitchen, and on shows like Sesame Street (Sesame Workshop), Crank Yankers (Comedy Central), Kidding (Showtime), and Johnny and the Sprites (Playhouse Disney). I served as Avenue Q's Puppet Wrangler/Wardrobe Head at New World Stages Off-Broadway.
At the moment? I'm teaching puppetry at Pace University, wrangling puppets for whoever needs wranglin' and doing musical improv when I can (something much-hampered by the pandemic). Dramatists Guild Fellow ’14-’15. FCLC '10.
