Micki Shelton – A former member of SCR’s Professional Conservatory and artistic member of Theatre Artists Studio, Micki’s plays include Medea’s Ghost (Theatre Artists Studio, 2010); Fred and Mary (Arizona Centennial Production, 2012); Evolution Fast Track (Little Black Dress INK, 2017; Amici Recast (Herberger Theater’s Kax Stage, 2018); and Apples from the Same Tree (Theatre Artists Studio, 2022). Her unproduced full-lengths include Cheap Food and Sex, La Posada, and Discovery, which probes the effect of the discovery and translation of the lost Gospel of Judas on a family of conservative Christians. For nine years, Micki led, with Charissa Menefee, Tomorrow’s Theatre Tonight, presenting readings of works-in-progress by Arizona playwrights. Her play Jitterbug was published in the pilot issue of New Theatre Magazine, and Alice in Quarantine, in collaboration with 10 other playwrights, is available from Next Stage Press.
