Sarah is a playwright and media artist whose work’s been shown at The Kitchen, MOMA, New Museum, Central Park SummerStage, and The O’Neill National Playwrights Festival. Plays include ABIGAIL (O’Neill, Blue Ink, and Ashland finalist; InterAct Theatre Company, Inkwell, San Antonio Public Theatres workshops), MARVEL-OUS MONICA; IN WHICH MONICA LEWINSKY IS A SUPERHERO HELL-BENT ON REVENGE (O’Neill; Valdez Last Frontier, IAMA Theatre Company), and 110 STORIES (produced in over 125 academic and community theaters, read at Geffen Playhouse, Public Theater, Vineyard Theatre with actors including Billy Crudup, Ossie Davis, Ruby Dee, Edie Falco, James Gandolfini, Samuel L. Jackson, Cynthia Nixon, Tonya Pinkins, Jay O. Sanders, Tony Shalhoub, and Kathleen Turner.) Short plays have been read/produced at BAM, Ensemble Studio Theatre, Monster Box, Naked Angels’ Tuesdays@9, Sundog Theatre. Awards include Princess Grace Award semifinalist, Ground Floor at Berkeley Rep second rounder, Humanitas PlayLA Workshop finalist, and a NYFA Fellowship. Essays have appeared in American Theatre magazine, HuffPost, and New York Times. Sarah teaches playwriting at SF Creative Writing Institute and at EdTA and CETA conferences.
