Rosemary FrisinoToohey's first play, An Arrangement of Convenience, premiered at Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York.  Since then her plays have been produced in 40 states and on 4 continents. 

She penned the book, music and lyrics for her first full-length musical, Judy And The General, which was produced in Baltimore. 

Three of her full-length dramas, School Shooter, The Garbageman and Under The Poplar Trees have won grants from the Maryland State Arts Council and her short prize-winning drama, The Body Washer, has been produced across the US and in London.

Her full-length comedy, Gladys In Wonderland, is published by Playscripts, Inc. and eight of her short comedies, including In The Tank, Socks, Strawberries and Lust and Cosmic Fruitbowl, are published by Dramatic Publishing and Lazy Bee Scripts.  Her works are included in the collections of dozens of university libraries from Harvard to the University of  KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. 

She’s made Finalist for the Heideman Award, the Julie Harris Playwright Competition, the Jewish Ensemble Theatre Fest, the Hudson River Showcase Contest, NYC's 15-Minute Playfest, the SART Scriptfest, Estrogenius Fest, FutureFest, the Y.E. S. Festival and the Eileen Heckart Drama for Seniors Competition among others.

She has spoken about playwriting at the Maryland Writer’s Conference and she was the featured playwright in a panel on Non-Traditional Casting, Creativity and the Law, presented by the University of Maryland Law School. 

FrisinoToohey is also a veteran radio news anchor.  Her long career at the microphone included stints at WITH in  Baltimore, KLOK in San Jose, WHDH in Boston, WINS in New York, WTOP in Washington & WNEW in Washington/Baltimore.  For years she was a correspondent for station 2WS in Sydney, Australia, covering everything east of the Mississippi.   

As a member of the Screen Actors Guild, she has worked in film and on TV.  She’s been seen in HOME, ROCKET SCIENCE, ROCKY BALBOA, THE WIRE, VEEP and HOUSE OF CARDS.
