Robin Goldberg is a playwright, dramaturg, and literary management professional based on the East Coast. Originally from the Boston area, she is a graduate of Emerson College (B.A. Theatre Studies: Playwriting and Dramaturgy). She is largely a comedy writer and enjoys writing about messy families, unexpected friendships, and the shared joyful weirdness of being a person. Selected plays include Sam Loves Alex, Family Emergency, On My Honor (full university production - Emerson Stage's NewFest (2015), finalist - She NYC Arts' Summer Theater Festival (2017), and semi-finalist - B Street Theatre's New Comedies Festival (2019)), and her newest play, Katie and Dom Are Friends, developed with Davenport Theatrical Enterprise's Professional Writers' Group. (Katie and Dom was a semi-finalist for both Playwrights Foundation's Bay Area Playwrights Festival and She NYC Arts' Summer Theater Festival for 2020.) She has also received the Rod Parker Playwriting Fellowship (2015) and a playwriting mentorship through the Writers Guild of America, East Foundation (2014). Robin loves supporting new work and has contributed to the new play development initiatives of six theatre companies and arts organizations in Boston, New York, Kansas City, MO, and San Francisco.
