Miles Robert Mills
I wrote my first play in tenth grade in high school in Virginia for a playwriting class. I took playwriting again at Virginia Commonwealth University. A Chocolate Chip Romance started as an autobiographical drama but ended up a satiric comedy.
I was a theatre educator for more than 36 years . My second year I produced three of my one act plays. Directing at school and elsewhere plus acting in addition to teaching full time kept me very busy. My first year of Graduate school I had a staged reading of an original script.
I have been writing more and more the last few years. A bulk of my scripts I have for educational theatre. I took a screenwriting class not long after I moved to California 30 years ago. Except for my own productions at my school I have never actively pursued production or publication. Now that I have retired finally have time to devote to my writing.
Author of over 25 plays and screenplays.
Have produced 46 original play festivals.
