Matthew Ivan Bennett is a resident of Plan-B Theatre, listed by American Theater magazine as one of 14 companies nationwide exemplifying social action and civic engagement. At Plan-B, he’s premiered several stage and radio plays, including “Eric(a)”—which won Best Drama at the United Solo Theatre Festival (New York)—and “Mesa Verde,” nominated for an ATCA Steinberg. He's twice workshopped at Great Plains Theatre Commons; in 2016, he was a Finalist at the O'Neill. His feature-length film (dir. by Connor Rickman) "The Whole Lot" appeared at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival and at Mumbai Indie-Fest in 2022 and 2023. He’s worked with Salt Lake Acting Company, Pygmalion, Pioneer Theatre, Chicago's Circle Theatre, Rising Sun in New York, Monkeyman in Toronto, and Source in DC. Matt is a member of the Dramatists’ Guild.
