
Lojo Simon
Lojo Simon is a polycreative writer, feminist and flamekeeper who works to foster radical empathy through writing, teaching, performing arts and service. Her professional roles include playwright, poet, writer, dramaturg, and teaching artist. She is deeply committed to advancing social justice, diversity and respect for women and other marginalized groups. Her commissioned and independent plays and musicals have been presented in professional, community and university theatres across North America. Lojo has won the George Plautz Playwriting Prize, KCACTF David Mark Cohen National Playwriting Award, City Theatre National New Play Award, Dayton Playhouse Futurefest Award, Old Miner Playwriting Award, and has been recognized three times by the Jewish Playwriting Project.
