Lisa Bruna is an award-winning playwright whose original works have been produced throughout the United States, from California to New York to Florida.
Her play INVASION earned Lisa a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Original Short Script (2015) and a Best Playwright designation in Manhattan Theatre Source’s 15th Annual EstroGenius Festival (2014).
Others of Lisa’s one-acts have won Audience Favorite, Best Script, and Best Playwright awards in various playwriting festivals throughout the country.
Several of Lisa’s plays are published in anthologies, including The Best Ten-Minute Plays of 2017 from Smith & Kraus (GOLD STANDARD); 5-Minute Plays, Applause Theatre & Cinema Books, 2017 (KNOCKOUT); 5-Minute Plays for Teens, Applause Theatre & Cinema Books, 2017 (FAKING IT); The Best Women’s Stage Monologues of 2016 from Smith & Kraus (Typical Tina from MEDIUM RARE); and The Book of EstroGenius: A Celebration of Female Voices, PlaySource, 2012 (REDEMPTION).
Her full-length children's play, OPERATION ODDBALL, was selected from a national search as a top-three finalist in the 2014 Annual Ronald M. Ruble New Play Festival. In 2016, it was published by Twisted Plays and is available for licensing from their Junior Drama catalog.
