Playwright and critic. She has written several dinner theaters and revues as well as the book for an award-winning musical version of A Christmas Carol

LAUREN is Co-Founder of the Connecticut Chapter of the League of Professional Theatre Women. Her play concept Reel to Real: The Jennifer O'Neill Story received a reading as part of the organization's Julia's Reading Room series in New York

She also has been a critic covering New York and Connecticut theater for many years. She served as a voting member of the Outer Critics Circle (she is executive producer of the annual awards party) and is a former voting member and vice president of The Drama Desk.

She produced a one-woman musical about Mary Magdalene which toured nationally for three years before closing in New York. At Gracewell Productions, she produces inspiring works in the arts.  She produces Table Readings, a play-reading series now in its third season at the Palace Theatre, Waterbury, CT, and last summer produced four plays by and for Boomers in her StAGEd Intent reading series at Ivoryton Playhouse in Connecticut.

She is a member of the Board of the Directors for the League of Professional Theatre Women in New York, a member of the Off-Broadway Alliance, the Broadway Women's Alliance and the Lambs Club in New York. Lauren also served as a book reviewer for Publishers Weekly.
