Kathleen Reichelt

Playwright

Kathleen Florence Reichelt is an award winning playwright, founder of The Garage Theatre in Toronto, and co-founder of the Thousand Islands Film & Stage in Canada.  Kathleen’s one act play “Who Killed The Curator” was chosen for the Evan Hughes Playwright Award and was staged in Toronto and Niagara Falls.  In 2020 the Ontario Arts Council awarded the artist a research and development grant for a new play about women and music.  Her other plays have been adapted to film and radio, with live readings, workshops and performances in Montreal, Toronto, New York and Florida.  Reichelt is a contributing writer to the NYC art journal Arteidolia and her writing and visual art have been published in art journals and books internationally.
