Kate Isabel Foley

Playwright
she/her/hers

Kate Isabel Foley (she/her) is a bisexual playwright, screenwriter, novelist, and performer from Pennsylvania. Her storytelling plays with whimsy, queerness, mental health, and reinterpreting the stories we thought we knew—sometimes all at once. Captain Darling—Kate’s dark, feminist reimagining of Peter Pan that centers Mrs. Darling—had its world premiere in 2024 at the Kaleidoscope Performing Arts Center in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. She holds a B.A. in English and Theater, with distinguished honors, from Ursinus College and is a current Dramatic Writing MFA student at Carnegie Mellon University. Kate was the dramaturg for Ursinus’s production of Angela Carter’s radio plays Puss in Boots and The Company of Wolves. Recent performances include roles in Small Mouth Sounds, Pride & Prejudice, The Oldest Profession, and Execution of Justice.
