Jennifer Skura


Jennifer (Boutell) Skura is an American-born theatre maker. She is currently an M.F.A. candidate in creative writing at Goddard College and received her B.F.A. in theatre from Sam Houston State University. Jennifer has collaborated on stage and screen for over 30 years, plus studied writing, acting, and directing with artists including Deborah Brevoort, Nancy Gabor, and Joseph Chaikin. Her writing has recently been presented at Howl Playwrights, Half Moon Theatre, Tangent Arts, NEWvember, Dixon Place, Avalon Studios NYC, Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C), Culture Project's IMPACT Festival, and Barefoot Theatre Company. Her plays include A LOOSE CAT (Dixon Place), SWEET CITRUS (92Y), AMARILLO and JOSEPH AND MRS. M (BRIC Arts), PIRATE (AboutFACE & Tangent, Dixon Place, Barefoot), STARR adapted from Barry Gifford’s “American Falls” (Open Channel Creations, Monk Parrots, Roger Smith Hotel), OFF A BRIDGE (Dixon Place), THREE DAY HARBOR (HMT), Failure to thrive., THIRST, and A MAD WOMAN’S BREAKFAST (Tangent, D3C).
