I'm an  an independent Los Angeles playwright and dramaturg (I created and ran "Botanicum Seedlings: A Development Series for Playwrights" at Theatricum Botanicum, and co-created "the Ignite Project" at EST/LA ). My plays, including "Reach," “Currency," “Yard Sale Signs,” “Smiling Cat Candy Heart,” "Remodeling Plans," "On Tuesday," "It's Not About Race,"  "Carry On" and "Buying a House" have been produced locally by Inkwell Theater, Rogue Machine Theatre, EST/LA, Santa Monica Rep, Virginia Avenue Project, Theatre of NOTE and La Jolla Playhouse’s WOW Festival as well as in Europe and the UK, Iceland and India and at colleges/universities. Various plays have been developed through Great Plains Theatre Conferences, The Playwrights’ Center, Moving Arts MADlab, Blank Theatre’s LRS, Playground-LA, Little Black Dress INK Festivals, National Winter Playwrights Retreat, Rogue Artist Ensemble’s Rogue Lab and Road Theatre Summer Playwrights Festivals. National recognition includes Finalist (O’Neill Playwrights Conference, Gulfshore Playhouse, City Theatre Short Play Festival) and Semi-Finalist (O’Neill, PlayPenn, Athena Project, Trustus Theatre Festival) nods; my work is published by Heinemann Press, Next Stage Press, Smith & Krauss and ICWP. I'm currently a member of the Playwrights Union, EST/LA, Honor Roll! and was one of Road Theatre's inaugural "Under Construction" Playwrights. I am proud to have plays included in works instigated by Protest Plays Project and Climate Change Theatre Action, and was honored to receive a Women in Theatre Red Carpet Award and two Max K. Lerner Playwriting Fellowships. A #genderequity activist and supporter of new plays and playwrights (especially women playwrights!), I'm also co-founder of the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative (LAFPI).
