
Jenifer Kay Hood
Jenifer Kay Hood is a member of the 45th Parallel Playwrights of Oregon. She has performed Fatal Interview, a one-woman show on the life of Edna St. Vincent Millay nationwide. Excerpts of the work were featured in a PBS profile piece in 1987. Hood wrote and performed a biographical piece about Myrtle Fillmore, the co-founder of Unity Church, at the group's annual retreat in 2003. In 2020, Hood's play Bunny and Vincent, was selected by DGA-NW to be performed by readers online. Bunny and Vincent tells the story of the critic Edmund "Bunny" Wilson's relationship with Millay from the night they met in 1920 to the end of his life. She is currently working on a play about her stepmother, the sculptor Julie Macdonald.
Hood has a master's degree in American Literature and completed all doctoral coursework focusing on 1900-1950 literature.
