Jay Hamburger


Jay is the founder/ current artistic director of Theatre In the Raw out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. He’s a writer, teacher/ broadcaster/ director/ producer, with a song in "Godspell"; worked San Francisco Mime Troupe; acted, wrote, directed in NYC. Started with Atty Gell the 27 old year Vancouver grassroots ongoing Theatre In the Raw on Commercial Drive; premiering original musicals by Bob Sarti: "Bruce: The Musical" (music Earle Peach/ Bill Sample); "Yippies In Love" and "The Raymur Mothers" (music Bill Sample); directed "12 Angry Jurors" – 2015/ "The Threepenny Opera" - 2016/  "Incident At Vichy" - 2018/ "Enter Laughing" - 2019; toured BC, Canada, US with mainstage and original one-acts plays; TITR has performed at over 57 venues; produced/ directed 24 original radio plays - broadcasts once a month each on "Arts Rational" and new radio show "The Raw Diaries" on Co-Op Radio 100.5FM. www.theatreintheraw.ca
