Jack Heifner is the author of the play Vanities, which ran for five years in New York and became one of the longest running plays in Off-Broadway history. He is also the author of over thirty other works including Patio/Porch, Natural Disasters, Bargains, Running on Empty, Jumping for Joy, Earth to Bucky, Boys’ Play, Home Fires, Lucky, Heartbreak, The Lemon Cookie, Comfort and Joy, Seduction, Dwarf Tossing, China Dolls, Leader of the Pack and other plays and musicals produced at theatres in the United States and around the world.  His latest works include the musicals Queen of the B’s and Vanities – A New Musical, based on his play and recently produced in Palo Alto, Pasadena, New York, Seattle and London. He has also written for television and film.  Mr. Heifner is Playwright-In-Residence at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where he teaches play, film and television writing each spring.
