Glenn Alterman/Author of 32 theater related books, including 11 books of original monologues. Listed at RecordSetter.com (and soon Guinness Book of World Records) for “The Most Published Author of Original Monologues For Actors”. Plays and monologues have appeared in 35 “Best Play’s” “Best Monologues” anthologies. Won The Arts and Letters Award In Drama, Julio T. Nunez Arts Grant, Bloomington Playwrights Project (Reva Shiner Award), Pittsburgh New Works Festival, Kaufman Award and over 60 playwriting competitions. Actors Theater of Louisville finalist 5 times. Recently awarded a second French Arts Grant. His work has been performed at Circle In The Square (Downtown), Primary Stages, Playwrights Horizons, LaMama, Beverly Hills Rep., Pittsburgh New Works Festival, Circle Rep., Showtime's One Act Contest, and at many other theaters all over the U.S. and on three continents. His play The Danger of Strangers, which originally starred James Gandolfini, and has had over 40 productions, was recently optioned by Double J Productions to be made into a full length feature film.
