Georgeta is an award-winning playwright, musician, lighting designer, stage manager, and director. She received her Bachelors from Berklee College of Music majoring in Professional Music (focuses in Music in Special Ed and Drama), and minoring in Philosophy. Her play Roasted! most recently received the honor of Best of 2018 from Manhattan Repertory Theater. She has had over 8 original shows workshopped/performed in the Boston, Colorado, and New York City areas, and has lit over 50 regional and collegiate productions in the Boston area. She was the head lighting gaffer for the award winning movie Wonderful. Her play aciremA was featured at Dixon Place in Manhattan, and her play “22” will receive its NYC debut at the Hudson Guild Theater in August 2019. Her newest play “The Art of Growing Up” written by herself and her partner Antonio will be going through a staged reading and workshop beginning March 2019.
Georgeta is a member of the Dramatists Guild, and has her certificate in ALICE (Active Shooter Response Training). Georgeta has also acted in numerous shows such as The Last Five Years (Cathy), The Emperor’s New Clothes (Loo), The Kiss (Fritzi), Brooklyn: The Musical (Brooklyn), Urinetown: The Musical, and many more. In her hometown of Colorado, she was honored with a nomination for the Jewish Community Hero Awards for her activism and service work. Georgeta hopes her work will open eyes and inspire people to live their lives honestly and full of love.
