Frederick D. Miller

Frederick D. Miller is a Central PA native, currently enrolled in the nationally recognized School of Theatre at the Pennsylvania State University. A lover of all things musical, Miller got his start in third grade when he auditioned for Les Miserables and the rest is history. Miller is a Hershey Theatre Apollo Award winning director for Cumberland Valley High School's fall 2017 production of The Great Gatsby. In addition, Miller has served as an assistant director for The Playhouse at Allenberry (formerly the Allenberry Playhouse) for their production of Seussical the Musical (dir. Steven Flom). A budding playwright and lyricist, Miller's first musical Outcasts (music and orchestrations by fellow PSU student Meghan Nardella) received its regional premiere at the Grace Milliman Pollock Performing Arts Center in Camp Hill in the summer of 2017. Outcasts was originally workshopped at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, PA. Miller also received Hershey Theatre Apollo Award nominations for Outstanding Student Playwright for his plays Like Father, Like Son and Censor.
