Edgar Chisholm
Edgar Chisholm (he/him) is an award winning director, playwright and producer. Edgar crafts challenging ethnically diverse plays. His plays include, “Without Love”, “Holiday Diary”, “The Long Dance”, “Unfinished Work”, “Miss Julie” (adapted), “Tom and Ted Go to the Races” and “The Savage Queen” (2019 Todd McNerny National Playwright Prize Finalist). Edgar has won the Raymond J. Flores Playwriting Prize, Eileen Heckart Drama award, National Federation of Community Broadcasters Silver Reel, the New American Playwrights Festival and The Segora International Writing Competition in Orange France and many others. Edgar is resident playwright at the August Strindberg Theatre, a member of The Fire This Time Festival Playwrights, Manhattan Oracles, 29th-Street playwrights, the Dramatist Guild, Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab, Harlem Arts Alliance and Polaris North Theatre. Edgar has 20+ years at WarnerMedia’s HBO and is also executive producer of the theatrically released movie “Deceptive”.
