Drew Pisarra is the author of the full-length drama Click (The Tank, 2023), the radio plays Price in Purgatory (53 Above, 2023) and The Strange Case of Nick M. (Imago Theatre, 2021), and a long list of one-acts including "Tea Towels" (2024) which premiered at Theater for the New City. Additionally, he has co-authored (with Imago Theatre co-founder Jerry Mouawad) two original works: the dancetheatre piece Voiceover (2022) and the existential puppet show My Bedroom Is an Installation (2023), the latter cited by Willamette Week as one of the five best theatrical productions of the year in Portland, Oregon. More recently, Imago Theatre also staged his 2025 adaptation of Oscar Wilde's Salome. 

An award-winning monologist and poet as we well, Pisarra once toured his one-man-shows Singularly Grotesque, Queer Notions, "Fickle," and The Gospel According to Saint Genet to Bumbershoot and On the Boards in Seattle, The Kitchen Theatre Company in Ithaca, Maryland Art Place in Baltimore, and Highways in Los Angeles. He has been the recipient of grants and commissions from the likes of the Cafe Royal Cultural Foundation, Curious Elixirs: Curious Creators, Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX), the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA), Portland Art Museum, and the Regional Arts and Culture Council. He is was an inaugural member of the Yale Cabaret's Playwright's Lab, Embers and Ashes for the 2024-25 season.
