Don Carroll is an American attorney who lives and practices law in Rome, Italy. He has performed and directed with the English community theatre companies in Rome.

IF LEAR HAD A LAWYER is his first full-length play as playwright and is based on his article of the same name published in the Lincoln Center Theatre Review (Winter/Spring 2004) commenting on Shakespeare's KING LEAR from a lawyer's perspective.
