Dina Gregory

Librettist Playwright Lyricist

A multimedia storyteller, Dina Gregory is most recently the author of a set of stories for Audible UK. As lyricist/librettist her works include "Grateful" (Hear Her Song, Canales Project, 2019), "My Marcello," a musical comedy and BEAM2018 selection, and "Where No Bell Tolls," an aria commissioned by the National Opera Studio (Hoxton Hall/Grimeborn, 2018). As bookwriter-lyricist her works include "Hello Sky," a musical based on Georgia O’Keeffe (produced by OperaLancaster in Pa., 2010), "Falling" (NAMT Songwriter Showcase 2010, Daegu International Musical Festival, 2010), and "Willy & Rupert" (presented at the O’Neill Music Theater Conference, 2005). A large portion of Dina’s work is written with twin-sister and UK composer/performer Rosabella Gregory. "Hello Sky" and her choral works are written with US composer Alisa Bair. She is currently developing a musical entitled "Mary Sometimes" with UK composer Jimmy Jewell.

Dina is a graduate of Somerville College, Oxford University and New York University’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, Tisch School of the Arts. She lives with her husband and two children in Lynchburg, Virginia.
