CHRISTOPHER ANSELMO is an award-winning songwriter. His musicals include ATLANTIC (2017 Edinburgh Fringe, American Music Theatre Project / Royal Conservatoire of Scotland); FABLE (NYMF 2014); THE HAUNTED TRAIN (Unmasked Theatre Co., Theater For The New City); ECCLESIAZUSAE! (Northwestern); and the New York Times Critic’s Pick adaptation of the best-selling children’s series, THE POUT-POUT FISH (TheatreWorksUSA / The New Victory Theater). His plays include THE WHIMSICAL & TREACHEROUS ADVENTURE TO TREASURE ISLAND (Northwestern); EDWARD (Northwestern); REDSHIFT_BLUESHIFT; PLAYTHINGS; and most recently, SWEET TOOTH, a Halloween farce. Recipient of the Craig Carnelia Songwriting Award, ASCAP Emerging Composer Award, and Northwestern’s Papermill Playhouse and Dominic Missimi Awards. His music has been heard across the U.S. in venues such as Joe's Pub, Birdland, 54 Below, Joe’s Pub and Catalina Jazz Club. His debut EP, WHAT I MEANT TO SAY WAS, is available now on Spotify and Apple Music. He is currently working on two projects: DISCOVERY OF FIRE, a new technology musical incorporating aspects of AR/VR, and FOUNTAIN, a new musical adventure.
