
Carol Berman
Carol presented her first full-length play, UNDER THE DRAGON, at The Workshop of the Neighborhood Playhouse in Oct. 2002. A staged reading of this play was held in Jan. 2003 at the United Nations Dag Hammarskjold auditorium. Her play, SUNSHINE SALLY, was produced at The Neighborhood Playhouse in Spring 2004. PROFESSIONAL MISCONDUCT and BROWNSTONE BREAKDOWN, her next two plays, were produced in 2009 and 2010, respectively, at different off-Broadway theaters by Ego Actus company. Her short stories have been published in literary journals, including, Caprice, Fetishes, Challenging Destiny, Aphrodite Gone Berserk. She is also the author of five non-fiction books, 100 Q & A About Panic Disorder, Personality Disorders, Surviving Dementia, Taming the Negative Introject, and Psychiatry on the Stage. Carol graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and then attended NYU Medical School where she is now a Clinical Assistant Professor in psychiatry. IN THE KINGDOM OF SAM had a reading at the Dramatists Guild (DG) on March 9, 2012, then it had a production at Manhattan Repertory Theater in 2013. Her next play, PARKING LOT 63, was produced at New York Theater Festival in August 2015. LIGHT MY FIRE had a staged reading at Dixon Place in June 2019. DOUBLE BLIND ran from May through June 2022.
