Alexandra Shields graduated from Northwestern University in 2015, where she founded Lipstick Theatre, a student theater company dedicated to showcasing female talent. She has since graduated from the Second City Writing Program and the Second City Conservatory. Alexandra has published humor articles with The Second City Network and cracked.com. Her sketches have been featured in the Mary Scruggs Festival (2017, 2018) and in the sketch show, Secrets and Lies. Her plays have been produced at 13th Street Repertory, American Theater Company’s Bridge Program, and Mudlark Theater. Readings of her plays have occurred with 13th Street Repertory, 20% Theatre Chicago, Columbia Entertainment Company, and Greenhouse Theater Center. Alexandra’s feminist children's play, Twelve, won first place in the Jackie White National Memorial Playwriting Contest. In her free time, Alexandra writes a Survivor (the tv show) blog for Inside Survivor.
