As the only national trade association for playwrights, composers, lyricists and librettists, the Guild, with over 7000 members, aims not only to protect your copyright but to provide every member a voice in the maintenance of hard-fought victories.

By joining as a member through First Year In (formerly called First Year Out), you’ll receive membership free of charge for each year of your Masters or Certificate program and also the first year after you graduate.


As a member, you can take advantage of our many benefits such as access to business advice through the BA Help Desk, the ability to download or purchase sample industry contracts, a magazine subscription to The Dramatist, access to the Resource Directory and additional member benefits and discounts.
