    Composer/ Lyricist Seeking Composer/ Librettist/ Playwright/ Lyricist

I have songs (lyrics and music) and I have a few scenes for this musical that is going to tell the story of Jewish people that is set as high school students rehearsal and then show in their annual presentation. But I need help to write down all these ideas and shape and structure them - for film and/or musical theater. I also am looking for a composer/arranger who can put all these songs into a coherent score. Can you help? Song first demos are here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9G8ltpYTP1Y&list=PLcWhyPjnuxyOojXf894Hz…

I have an idea for a musical that I have been wanting to write for quite some time and now I want to move forward with the idea. I think the story of the Dreyfus Affair would make for a great musical. I want to write the book, but I do not have the talent to write music. As for lyrics, I am open to conversation about what to do. Either you can write the whole score yourself (music and lyrics), or I'll write the lyrics myself and you'll write the music, or we can write the lyrics together collaboratively. I'm fine with any of those three options.

    Playwright Seeking Playwright

Fellow playwright and Chair of the Theatre Committee at the National Arts Club, Linda Selman, is hosting the Festival of Monologues in a live, hour-long Zoom Format in October. I am looking for "diverse female playwrights" who can present compelling, heartfelt first-person monologues in which the share a surprising incident or incidents about their own lives that reveal intimate truths about themselves. In so doing, they come upon unexpected revelations, sometimes startling, poignant, or life changing. The monologue should be no longer than 15 minute. No Pandemic themes. The playwright will perform their own work. Please contact me at lindaselman85@gmail.com with any questions or to submit work. Many thanks, Linda Selman

    Lyricist Seeking Composer/ Librettist

I am playwright-lyricist looking for a composer or composer/librettist team with whom to collaborate on a musical. I have an idea or two, but also interested in new and pre-existing projects - and mainly interested in just lyrics (although I can write a mean book, too). In this quarantined world of ours, I figure it's a great opportunity to put creative time into new works, so, when theaters open back up, it's time to submit, submit, submit! As for me, I am a playwright-lyricist who has written a variety of dramatic works, including four musicals, twelve straight plays, a rock opera, and a few screenplays. My work has been performed throughout the United States, including California, Washington, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Louisiana, Colorado, Ken...

    Playwright Seeking Playwright

I have a fully written musical book set in Detroit during the racial riots of 1967. I am looking for an African-American playwright to assist with the cultural aspect of this material. I want to not only be accurate but also respectful. The recent events in our country has proven this material to be as relevant today as it was in its setting 53 years ago. I would like a collaborator to work with the existing material and also expand and create new avenues.

I wrote a faith-based musical about a group of teens dealing with life issues and the unexpected people that helped them along the way. I've also written the songs and have an idea of the music for each but most definitely need help ad guidance to lock all these ideas in. Greatly appreciate any help I can get.

    Playwright/ Lyricist Seeking Composer

I have written the book and lyrics to a new musical called The Colony." The colony is an imaginary space where all the great artists in history reside. They want to retell art history through a musical comedy and they have chosen, Sheila, who started to write this musical, but is now in a coma in a hospital bed. They want to finish writing the musical for Sheila and bring back people to museums and theater once the Covid pandemic is over. The musical, if any art term applied, is on the surrealist side of life. Looking for a composer who can capture the absurd but doing it with a great sense of heart, love and joy in the expression. This musical is barely two weeks old and needs nurturing.

My script ' Which Boxster's ' is still available for review and all out production. If you happen to be hoping to find a big time project to conquer here you go perhaps. Don't let the title run you off. It'll grow on you as it did me in all likelihood. This is strictly a specialty, intended for a major high tech stage that would be performed throughout the entire month of October. Presently it does have a charitable interest in you might have guessed, breast cancer research. This could be ideal for the right people although be aware no doubt at all, it has one heck of a hill to climb. The good news is, that hill is indeed climb-able. This work is A.k.a : " The dirt., Is on., The green! "

    Playwright Seeking Composer

I am writing my first musical, "Post Office the Musical." It is about a small town post office that is in danger of being shut down by the government but the townsfolk come together to save the day. I am in the process of licensing "Please, Mr. Postman," and "Return to Sender," for this project as I have an extensive music licensing background. I do need to collaborate with a composer on songs written for the show. I have started on lyrics for some songs but am not a composer so ... help!

I've written a play called "I'm Still Here" that I want to turn into a musical. The show is about an aging, but infamous Don Rickles-esque comedian named Eddy Wayne. He started out as a standup in the 70's and worked his way into primetime, winning Emmys and so many other awards for his hit sitcom, he was the king of Hollywood from the late 70's-early 90's. It's now 2020 and we're in the age of reboots, NBC wants a reboot of his sitcom, but something's off with him, but his restaurant owning wife, and college baseball star son don't seem to notice. The only one that does is his daughter, an artist, and the obvious older sister they don't pay attention too. He has dementia, and a rapid case at that, Eddy has to come to terms with his life and how he wants to leave it. The play explores them...

I am a playwright who has just recently moved into writing for musical theatre in the past few years. I am currently working on a 9-actor 90-minuteish original musical about a woman who discovers her birth father's family across the country after taking a DNA test. The musical style could be country, rock, contemporary musical theatre- I am still early in the process. I will say I am looking to do this piece with a minimal orchestra (maybe just 3-4 instruments in total). This is definitely a project that needs to be discussed further to see if we could work together.
