NYC ONLINE: Write Now!
In the face of an ongoing global pandemic, some of us may find it hard to focus on what we do best - writing plays.
Enter your Dramatist Guild NYC Ambassadors, Matt Sowell, Kathleen Warnock and Yvette Heyliger along with your NYC Regional Representative, Winter Miller. We cordially invite you to NYC Write Now!, a virtual meet-up group to write silently together as a community.
NYC Write Now! gives us an opportunity to connect through our shared craft as playwrights, composers and librettists during this unprecedented time. Live theatre may be on pause, but the work continues!
You have the option of meeting once or twice a week during the day, in the evening, or both! All you have to do is turn your camera on and mute your sound. We’ll have a quick welcome before beginning two hours of uninterrupted writing time. Think of it as a group of accountability buddies.
NYC Write Now! launches the first week of August. You are free to come to either time slot you please, but we do need you to register so we know how many people to expect, and to send you the link. We look forward to seeing you in the Zoom where it happens!
What: An informal silent writing group for playwrights in NYC's five boroughs: The Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
When: Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm Eastern, Fridays from 9am to 11am Eastern
Where: Zoom (link and information sent with email confirmation; meeting passcode will be sent two hours prior to each meeting for additional security)
