“Step by step, Schenkkan gets us to see the way the collapse of institutions leads to the collapse of morality and the rule of law. Building the Wall conjures what appears to be a worst-case scenario, though who would dare presume to know what the worst-case scenario even is anymore?” -Charles McNulty, Los Angeles Times

As a response to the violent and inhumane separation of children from their parents at the US-Mexico border, the Dramatists Guild of America will host a reading of Building the Wall on Tuesday, June 26th at 6:00 p.m. in the Dramatists Guild's Mary Rodgers room.  This reading will allow us to bring together artists and immigrant policy practitioners to discuss a new path of action moving forward.

The Dramatists Guild and KIND (Kids In Need of Defense) have joined with Robert Schenkkan for a reading of his play Building the Wall. Immediately following the reading, Robert and KIND's Wendy Wylegala will discuss the play’s impact and message in terms of our current political climate.
