Be a part of the biggest day for Broadway fans, as the 32nd Annual Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction returns to the heart of New York City’s theatre district. Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is one of the nation’s leading industry-based HIV/AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. We fund the social service work of The Actors Fund, and award grants to AIDS service organizations nationwide. With your help, what we do together makes a difference.
The Dramatists Guild will be participating again this year in the Broadway Flea Market on Sunday, September 30, 2018. This will be our 18th year of working with the League and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS to raise much needed funds. More than 50 tables full of Broadway memorabilia, collectible Playbills and unique gems will line the streets in and around Times Square. Among the shows scheduled to have tables this year are Aladdin, Anastasia, Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, Dear Evan Hansen, Frozen, Hamilton, Kinky Boots, The Lion King, Mean Girls, NEWSical The Musical, The Phantom of the Opera, Pretty Woman, School of Rock – The Musical, Sweeney Todd, Waitress, and Wicked, with a special table featuring items from recently closed shows.
This year, we will again share our table with the Dramatists Legal Defense Fund, from 10am until approximately 5pm. Every year, we sell old copies of The Dramatist magazine, along with donated scripts, books, CDs, and other theatrical paraphernalia. We have some very special autographed merchandise this year, which is exciting, and at 1pm, the table will welcome DG member John Cariani (Almost, Maine), who will join us to sign copies of his scripts and meet Flea Market shoppers!
