DG members are now eligible to receive a discounted rental rate at Theater 555, the 160-seat off-Broadway theatre located at 555 West 42nd Street (between 10th & 11th Avenues). Unused since the start of the Covid pandemic, the theater was the homes of the Signature Theatre and Pearl Theatre Company.  Its most recent tenant was the New York arm of Upright Citizens Brigade.

​Theater 555 is owned and operated by longtime off-Broadway and Broadway producer Eric Krebs, whose long career has included the building and operating of the former John Houseman and Douglas Fairbanks Theaters on 42nd Street’s Theater Row for over 20 years.

For One-Day Readings (Prices are subject to change)

8 hours with one audience event - $2,800 (+ $950 for two audience events) 

4 hours with one audience event - $2,000  

12 hours with two audience events  - $4,500 

Rehearsal Rate (Prices are subject to change)

15% discount pertains to the rental rate ONLY

Discount Details

Any additional needs such as tech/AV/Sound/Special lighting/Receptions/etc. are not included in the discounted rate and will be charged at full price.

Theatre Details

The basic lighting plot is available, as well as 125+ lighting instruments. Please note that any changes that are made to the grid must be restored by end of the rental. Limited sound equipment is also available; however sound technicians are an added cost or else must be booked through third-parties. No crew, designers, or technical directors are included in this discount.

A projector and a projection screen will be available upon request. Chairs/stands/stools/rehearsal cubes/upright piano/keyboard/etc. are also available for use. Lighting and sound inventories are available upon request.
