For Arts Organizations Only

  • The ability to offers your members/program participants Affiliate Subscriber status to the Guild Website providing free access to The Dramatist Blog, The Dramatist Issue Archive and invitations to Guild events across the country. 

Theatre Requirements

 

  • Enroll your theatre in Playwrights Welcome.
  • Provide space for two community events per calendar year, organized by Guild representatives.
  • Support the Dramatists Bill of Rights by making the DG’s Non-Profit Addendum available to DG members who are having new works premiered on the theater’s main stage.
  • If the affiliates program isn’t appropriate for your theater, but you still want to host local dramatists, scroll below for discounted services for Host Theatres.
  • Host Theatres who sponsor Playwrights Welcome and two Guild events get two FREE subscriptions to The Dramatist and, additionally, a 50% discount on a Business Subscription ($200).

Host Theatres are asked to enroll their theatre in Playwrights Welcome and provide space for two community events per calendar year, organized by Guild representatives. Host Theatres are eligible for a 50% discount on a Non-Profit Business subscription, which includes the following:

  • Two subscriptions to The Dramatist [$35 for each additional subscription]
  • Our Guild's Monthly Newsletter
  • A preliminary consultation with the Business Affairs department, to answer questions about the policies, procedures, standards, and agreements that are applicable when you work with Guild member playwrights, composers, librettists, lyricists, and devisers.
  • A free copy of the Resource Directory;
  • Discounted ad space available in our publications;
  • Invitations to select Guild events;
  • Discounted access to model contracts, articles, videos, Business Affairs webinars, and DG podcasts, and
  • Continuing access to the Business Affairs department to answer any additional questions about our policies, procedures, standards and model agreements.
