Emily Mann is the Artistic Director and resident playwright for the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey. Under Ms. Mann’s leadership, McCarter Theatre was honored with the 1994 Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theater. Ms. Mann has been awarded the Dramatists Guild’s Hull-Warriner Award (in 1995 for her play, Having Our Say), the Edward Albee Last Frontier Directing Award (2003), and an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Princeton University. In 2011, Ms. Mann was selected as Person of the Year by the National Theatre Conference.
Works include: Greensboro (A Requiem) (1996); Execution of Justice (1985); Still Life (1980); Having Our Say (1995); Mrs. Packard (2007); A Seagull in the Hamptons (2008).
